Overview
Located 203 km from Muscat, Wadi Bani Khalid is one of Oman’s most breathtaking wadis, known for its lush valleys, natural pools, and waterfalls. The journey takes you through the Eastern Al Hajar Mountains to the scenic village of Bida, where you’ll witness stunning landscapes filled with palm trees and crystal-clear waters.
The road continues to Muqal, a town famous for its mysterious cave. Adventurous travelers can explore the cave, which requires crawling and scrambling in some sections. The wadi is filled with natural pools and irrigation canals used by local villagers.
After visiting the wadi, you’ll head to the golden dunes of Wahiba Sands, where you can experience dune bashing, visit a Bedouin family, and even enjoy an optional camel ride before returning to Muscat.
